The role of an argument is important to understand, for example, who is arguing and where are they coming from? This involves giving brief background on the subject and what the purpose is. In order to make a good argument, you need to come up with facts, evidence, anecdotes, etc. to support the claim of your position. Give the audience a hook (why does it matter), a background, and a call to action.
